NUNNABOVE is Cadence, Mattie, Bennett, and Wisdom; four siblings from the Twin-Cities taking their influences from funk, jazz, rock and neo-soul to generate their own sound and style from The Purple One to the Gloved One, The 1975 to Chaka Khan. For these siblings, family is life and the key to what they create musically. As a featured new artist at Prince’s Paisley Park Celebration in 2023, they “shined the brightest” as one of the 5 most memorable moments. As Matthew Allen of the Grio writes, “The Minneapolis Sound seems to be in good hands.” Chaka Khan, who also attended the celebration, heard the group and embraced them with praise when she met them. She then invited them to open for her and Boys II Men two months later at the Minnesota State Fair.

Frankie Torres

Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Frankie Torres has been performing for over 17 years. Her modern take on blues and rock have been seen on notable stages such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Lollaoalooza, The Taste of Minnesota, and NBC’s The Voice. Frankie was a contestant on Heart’s “Magic Man”. Frankie’s unique songwriting skills, high-energy stage presence, and impressive vocal talent make her an up and coming musician to keep an eye on.
